Hello and welcome to this weekβs Forsler newsletter ππ»
First of all thank you all for the kind reception youβve given our podcast! That just makes us even more excited to record the next bunch of episodes.
In this edition, we're excited to share a success story from Stora Enso, the latest product updates from Forsler, a deep dive into robotics in forestry, and a curated list of articles on sustainable innovation and automation.
π¬ In this weekβs issue:
With that settled, letβs dive in ! πΏ
β
In our latest episode we take a deep dive on planting robots. Weβll introduce you to drone planting robots - and self-driven robots that might be even better than us at planting trees.
Weβll also cover a brand-new innovation that enables us to use trees to make windows - the actual glass!
Later in the episode Rasmus also teaches us a thing or two about the world's largest and tiniest trees.
Weβd love to hear what you think of the podcast. If you have any feedback, please send it to us.

Forestry is facing huge challenges in an era of extraordinarily high demand for wood, worsening climate change issues, and labour shortages. Could robotics be part of the solution?
In our latest article, we explore how technologies like the BraSatt planting robot and drones for planting trees might be the future. We also discuss the potential and challenges of these emerging technologies, as well as the leap from controlled test environments to wide-scale deployment.
Is fully automated forestry the future of forestry? Unlikely. But could we see autonomous robots in forests within a few years? There are indications that we might.

Despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding EUDR, Forsler is ready with the correct export of geographic data for the place of harvest.
The GeoJSON file is easily exported and uploaded directly to the EU's TRACES system, where a DDS (Due Diligence Statement) must be prepared.
