Hello and welcome to this weekβs Forsler newsletter ππ»
As summer turns to autumn and the forests change colour, our newsletter is also changing.
We've spent the last few months creating a new podcast: Foresting Tomorrow. Itβs a weekly show where we'll talk about the latest news and trends in forest management. π§ You can watch a short trailer here:
The newsletter will still be sent every two weeks β but with one small change: our portrait articles will be replaced with in-depth pieces on the latest industry developments.
We hope youβll enjoy the new format ποΈ
π¬ In this weekβs issue:
With that settled, letβs dive into this weekβs newsletter π³
β
Our first podcast episode is out β and you can listen to it right here. The podcast will be released every week and will focus on the latest developments and trends in our industry.
The theme of the first episode is the state of our forests in 2024 β and weβre basing it on a brand new report from the UNβs Food and Agriculture Organisation. Sadly, the report shows that forest fires and pest infestations are happening more often than ever.
Later in the episode, we talk about CLT (cross-laminated timber) β a new way of using wood instead of steel or concrete. CLT can help reduce environmental damage and is a more sustainable way to build.
Weβd love to hear what you think of the podcast. If you have any feedback, please send it to us.

As mentioned in the podcast, our forests are facing more problems than ever before. But can technology help us save them?
In this article, we look at how LiDAR and other remote sensing technologies could revolutionise forest management. From precise 3D modelling to early detection of forest fires and pest problems β find out how modern technology is helping us monitor and protect our forests more effectively than ever before.

We've just updated our library of help guides, and they now cover all the features in Forsler.
There are 13 brand new guides that show you how to do everything β from initial map registrations to how to automatically create tasks that update stand data. You can easily find the new guides on our website.
